Thoughts on Thriving.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of overflow and abundance lately. It’s something we’ve been talking about at church a lot lately and it seems to be popping up in every area of life lately.

What if we truly believed that our lives were meant to overflow? Not just in moments of success or comfort, but even in seasons of struggle? What if we stopped operating out of scarcity, fear, and limitation—and started stepping into abundance, even when circumstances feel uncertain?

The Power of One Decision

One decision can change your life forever.
One shift in perspective can turn a setback into a lesson.
One bold step can open doors you never imagined possible.

But when we’re stuck in a scarcity mindset, we hesitate. We second-guess. We focus on what we lack instead of what we can create.

What if, instead, we trained our minds to look for joy in the midst of struggle? I heard this quote and it’s always stuck with me, “Joy is not circumstantial.”

The Hidden Beauty in Hardship

We tend to believe that abundance comes after the struggle—that we have to push through hard seasons to finally experience joy. But what if the struggle itself is where the growth happens?

What if:

  • Failure is actually revealing a deeper lesson you need to learn?

  • Setbacks are setting you up for something bigger?

  • Challenges are strengthening your resilience so you can handle more abundance?

We’d be shocked by what’s waiting for us on the other side of hardship.
We’d be shocked by our own untapped potential.
We’d be shocked by how much growth can come from a season of lack.

What Are You Training Your Mind to See?

In the face of difficulty, we all have a choice. We can choose to see:

  • Blame or growth

  • Negativity or opportunity

  • Pride or humility

  • Victimhood or resilience

Or, we can choose joy, grace, thankfulness, and trust—even when it’s hard.

Because when we stop seeing life through the lens of scarcity and start embracing overflow, everything changes.

Are you ready to shift?

What mindset will you choose today?

Cheers,

KP
